While having spring fever seems to be all I talk about lately, there is also another recurring theme to our winter days: Jax wanting to be just like Daddy. Whether it is shoveling snow or fixing an outlet, Jax is right there to shine his flashligh or offer a twist of his screwdriver. And since we have been known to put our kids to work at an early age, it should come as no surprise that Jax has quite a work ethic. He cries at the window if Daddy is outside shoveling without him (My red SHOV-el!) so in all types of weather and depths of snow drifts, out he goes to help with snow removal.
First, he has to gear up,
complete with hood over his bear hat to keep snow off his neck.
Nothing like a kid with a cone head for comic relief!

And the men go to work, including one rambunctious doggy who knocks snow into the pathway, just to make the outing last a little longer. This dog will never age; he will be a puppy till the day he dies.
Jax feels no need to wait for Daddy to shovel the walkway; he just plunges into the deep stuff to his intended destination--the driveway. Cleaning off the cars is high on his list of great fun.
And once that task is accomplished, he rewards himself with a tasty snowcone. No flavor. Just snow.
Don't forget to check if it's yellow!
Here's to a job well done!
Enjoy it, buddy. You earned it!
