Anyway, back to my photo. This week's assignment is "youth", and to me, nothing says youthfulness like summer and holidays. So here is my photo submission, from last year's Fourth of July celebration.
Jax's first time eating corn on the cob.
I almost picked this one of my nephew and niece, Christian and Erika--
--since they were having a great time together in a good barbeque/dunking someone in the dunk tank/about to get their faces painted/win the hula-hoop contest/watch fireworks kind of way. But I thought it was too typical and portraity. I have this one framed in my house as a happy memory.
Now I'm really excited for summer! Buttery corn on the cob and juicy watermelon, here I come! Oh, wait...it's still snowing...

Probably one of my favorite photos I've ever taken. You'll probably see it again.

One of the first times Jax held Em in his arms and fed her. He asked to do it. He was happy to do it. I started to see a little bit of the gap between them diminishing. This was two months ago and it was definitely one of my happiest moments watching my two kids together. Since then, their relationship has definitely blossomed and improved. Thank goodness!

That tulip is stunning! I cannot believe you have tulips in Vermont! Send some warmth and spring down to Boston where it's still frigid!
