Working On the Railroad

I would say that the most redeeming quality of where we live is its unique and frequent offerings of family-friendly events.  Last weekend, Jax, Em, and I met up with some of our friends to celebrate the Glory Days of the Railroad in White River Junction.  Think lots of big, shiny trains and one particular little boy who had a wonderful day.

Think face-painting, freshly squeezed lemonade, Thomas the Tank Engine models, and yummy homemade train-shaped cookies.

Think live music and dancing with friends.

Think a very well-behaved four-month-old who stayed nicely in her carseat the entire time and just did her best to look beautiful.  Done.

For all the joking I do about living up here, it's definitely a great place to raise kids.  I'm so lucky to be able to stay home with them both and enjoy all the Upper Valley has to offer.  I love making memories with them, and I hope they're enjoying themselves, too!
