Our friends Mike and Heather and their son, Matthew, invited us to a brewfest in their neighborhood a couple weeks ago. They are the kind of intrepid folk that brew their own beer, unlike us who can't even remember to buy beer and keep it in the refrigerator. Fortunately, bringing microbrews would suffice, so we represented San Diego and brought alone some Stone Brewery grog (wish it could've been Pizza Port!) and some snacks, and enjoyed a fabulous afternoon in the sunshine.
We made some friends, JDubbs played horseshoes, and I took pictures of the kiddos. With beautiful babies like this, what more did I need? Mmmm, I did discover a great new beer, Hobgoblin, which I highly recommend: yummy and Guinnessy. But back to the babies...

It's so nice to watch these guys grow up together. They've known each other since they were Em's age and now they're off making mischief together. Two of Jax's friends are expecting new siblings soon, then Em will have her crew of playmates, too! Thank goodness for good friends (and good beer)!
