The Dot

I need to acknowledge something. My daughter has a dot on her head.

Insert racially insensitive joke here.

I know you've all noticed it, and we're obviously aware of it, but I felt a little weird not mentioning it. Like I'm ashamed of it or something. It's a birthmark, a strawberry hermangioma, which will eventually fade and will probably be covered by her hair. My mom says it's a kiss from my gramma. JDubbs's mom calls it an angel kiss. Either way, it's here to stay for at least a year or two and then will start to turn silvery. We'll see how it turns out and hopefully it won't be too noticeable, but if it is, oh well. It's just part of who she is, and as my uncle told me, birthmarks are sexy. Really. He said that. See why we need to get this out in the open? ;)
