Tommy's Baptism

"He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me." ~Matthew 18:2-5

Sunday was Tommy's baptism, which was an actually an extra blessed day to be baptized because it was the day that Jesus was baptized. Could this kid be any more special?

All of Tom and Molly's friends and family piled into St. Patrick's church to witness this great day. And by piled, I do mean piled. Tommy's side of the church was almost full! And it is a big church! He is loved by so many :)
Here we are, the godparents, with our fiendish little toddler. Poor Nana had to spend half of the service walking around her other little grandson because Mommy and Daddy were occupied.

Tommy was great throughout the service; he didn't peep except to make adorable baby sounds. He knows how to put on a good show for his fans.

Molly and Tom were so proud!

Afterward, everyone went to the reception--seriously, I bet there were over a hundred people there! Everyone was there to witness this great day for Tom, Molly, and Tommy, and to celebrate Tommy's welcome into the church. JDubbs and I were thrilled to be named godparents and will take our roles seriously, hopefully helping Tommy live a happy Catholic life. We already got him started on some heavy reading; hey, it's never too early to have a Bible! Poor little guy with an English teacher for an aunt and godmother. He doesn't stand a chance ;)

We love you, Tommy!
