The Strolling of the Heifers

Nope, "Strolling of the Heifers" is not a creative title for mommies pushing babies in their baby joggers! The Strolling of the Heifers is a real thing. It's an annual celebration in Brattleboro, Vermont, and it kicks off with a parade of cows. Seriously. Remember, this is Vermont, people. It's how we roll
.

These people actually volunteer to dress up like flies and pick up the cow poop. I know, I can feel you Californians shaking your head in disbelief. This really happened. I could not make it up! To answer Tricia's question, apparently happy cows do not live in California like they advertise on TV; they live in Vermont!
Here are some pictures from the petting zoo. It really was cute, as much as I like to poke fun.

To be honest, we had a great day. We went with our friends Katharine and Harper and there was a lot to do and see. I think we'll definitely go back next year--maybe I'll volunteer to be a fly ;)
Here's a video, just so you can feel like you're there...
