Oh, The Places You've Been...

I was thinking this morning that one year ago I was living in California with no baby, no puppy, no mortgage, and that we were getting ready to go to Hawaii. Now I wasn't thinking this regretfully--I wouldn't change one tiny thing about my life, and I'm very happy with how things are. But I wouldn't turn my nose up at another trip to Hawaii right about now, with the temperature so low and snow dripping off our roof to make big patches of ice right outside our front door. Luckily, we use the side door so that's neither here nor there. The point is, wouldn't it be nice to be in Hawaii?

Then I was thinking that Jax was with us on that trip, too--10 weeks pregnant. That was when I started to feel a little better, although I did miss out on a few yummy steak dinners and definitely felt the lack of cocktail hour. Then I thought, as I've often thought before, Wow, Jax has been so many places with us (in my belly and out). He has already been to seventeen states and Canada. He's been to two weddings (the Clarkes' and the Joneses') and to Vegas. He's flown on an airplane four times. Here are a few memorable moments in the travels of our four-month-old BEFORE he made his debut:

I love the fact that Jax has already been so many places, and it is very high on our priority list to make sure that he continues to do so throughout his life. This kid was conceived in California, was born in New Hampshire, and lives in Vermont--he was born to travel! And we will happily make sure he stays that way :)

So funny, Becky because Tom just made a collage of me during my pregnancy thus far. Great minds think alike! BTW, I love the mohawk!
