Welcome to The Waiting Game

Welcome to our blog, which will chronicle the lives of our family as we prepare to welcome our son, Jax, into the world and our home in Vermont. I start this blog in the hope to minimize the needless group emails which will relate the mundane details of new parents' lives, and allow our friends and family to catch up with us on their own schedule, as well as to entertain!

Jax is due two weeks from yesterday, so we are officially enduring The Waiting Game, examining every ache and twinge I experience under a microscope of "is this it?" We have spent our time assembling furniture and toys, teaching our puppy Baxter not to nibble on Jax's swing or bouncy seat, and enjoying the last few days as simply husband and wife before baby makes three. Not as easy to do as one would imagine, with JDubbs starting a new job with his dad and trying to fix up our house before there is a newborn residing in it, as well as entertaining a six-month-old yellow lab. But we are enjoying ourselves and our new life--albeit a far cry from the freedom we had in San Diego--but different in a good way. We only hope we will continue to be as blessed as we have been.
